SKATEBOARDING COACH ANNOUNCEMENT

Last summer, one of our local skaters stepped up when we were on the lookout for part time coaches! We were so impressed with his skills - if you came to Raumati Rollers or some of our Friday night sessions at Maclean Park, you will have met young Jack. We were so impressed with how he worked with skaters of different ages and skill levels, and not at all surprised when he let us know he was off to the US for a few months to work as a skateboarding instructor!
Jack is back in Aotearoa and we’re super keen to collaborate with him and continue to support him on his coaching journey! He’s got big ideas (school holiday camps, anyone?) and lots of enthusiasm!

Reach out to Jack directly through his instagram, or message us at the shop! We will be putting together some small group sessions, but he is available asap for one on ones or small group lessons!

We are giving up our retail frontage and shifting everything (warehouse, e-commerce and retail) into one space!

SAME BUILDING just ‘out back’ - the big roller door that opens directly onto the carpark at good old number 23 Ihakara Street!

We will have more space for y’all to come in and hang out - a larger community workbench, comfy seating, ‘after school ramps and rails’ sessions - we are excited about the possibilities this move will bring!

As a tiny team, with a tiny budget, jumping on an opportunity we didn’t really foresee or plan for, we’re definitely open to community members who may be able to help out! Whether you can help hang banners in a concrete wall (Kit’s drill is too puny for this job), can move boxes of gear (that will be a fun day, with pizza and tunes!) or help with rehanging doors, patching holes, and generally setting our retail space back to its original condition - let’s chat! Open to bartering, shop credit! We have a few weeks to transition into the new space!

We just got in a shipment of S1 helmets! Multiple-impact rated, with replaceable inner liners, these helmets are our top pick for action sports!
Pop into the shop - our staff will fit you with the helmet brand and style most appropriate for your needs. S1 are our favourites, it’s what our family wears, but they aren’t the only brand we stock! Pop into for a fitting, or to see if your existing helmet has some life left in it - we will walk you through our options, and make sure you are well protected!
