From a roster of over 20 local and international publishers, the bookshop will offer a curated selection of the art books, magazines, and experimental print projects, including those from The Dowse Art Museum, Te Tuhi , Objectspace, Rim Books, GLORIA Books and much more!⁠

Iffy is - about celebrating craft! Craft that is tenderly made, then refined, then remade and refined again. Craft that relies on trial and error. Craft that is led by intuition! We know machines can do things 10x more accurately and efficiently than our own two hands can, but even as ‘craft’ becomes a casualty of industry production, the small charms and oddities of things can never be fully realised without a maker who is able to respond to their materials, and their instincts.

Iffy is - Geo Knits Slow!

Geo is a Wellington based maker of beautiful, chunky knits and crochet pieces.

In a world where choice is infinite, Geo chooses to use exclusively pre-owned or deadstock fabric so each garment is different from the next.

Distinctive, fun, and made entirely by hand, we’re so excited to share Geo’s practice.

Iffy is - a project about supporting the incredible creative talent in Aotearoa.

To conclude the stunt that was 2020, we’re celebrating creativity and community with a pop-up shop stocking good things made here in Aotearoa. Offering art, furniture, homewares, and fashion by 21 local makers, we provide testament to the variety and talent of our creatives.

We’re a space for emerging artists and makers to get into the physical retail realm without the stresses of doing so on their own. We’re a helping hand. Combining art with community, novelty, and education, we show an exciting tension between where we are now and where we can be, soon. We’re here to share our love of art in its many forms, in both individual and mutual experiences of joy, passion, and pride! We love Aotearoa, and we are Aotearoa.
