Fresh flowers on Mother’s Day are a beautiful way to remind your partner you still love her…
…or at the very least reassure your mother she didn’t spend 18 years raising an emotionally unavailable caveman.
Because somewhere right now, a woman is sending her man this post instead of communicating directly.
(growth.)
And somewhere else, a mother is staring at her son’s “Happy Mother’s Day” text thinking:
“Wonderful.
Now do one for the partner of your kids.”
Because flowers are never JUST flowers.
They’re evidence.
Proof of thought.
A tiny floral receipt that says:
“Yes, hello, I remembered you existed while fully conscious.”
Which, in this economy?
Romance.
And honestly, the pressure’s already on because Mother’s Day creates a terrifying ripple effect where women start thinking:
“Well if he can organise flowers for his mother…”
…you see where this is going.
So this is your gentle reminder, boys:
Buy the flowers.
Send the text.
Add the extra x at the end.
Not because we’re asking for much.
But because women would quite like to avoid having to emotionally crowdfund basic affection through Instagram reposts.
(and because your mother would absolutely want this for us.) 🌷
