Completely original – not another one like it – I have Hand dyed the Merino 1ply yarn for this project only and then woven it on my Ashford Rigid Heddle.

Beautiful drape and light weight – but nice and warm being merino.

She is on, have started weaving - night light and tried all sorts of settings but certainly not true to colour - darn it! One shows the chartreus (not so much with uploading) but it certainly isnt like that in real life. To the eye it is a light Olive. It is yet again going to be one of those hard ones to capture the true colour.

Haunui Wool Toffee with Camel and Silk which I have spun then decided to dye. Love my colours be it that I cant take a true pic.

Two successful moulds used today - and another strawberry one 15cm x 15cm curing now.

Strawberry one is "Blackberry" fragrance as didnt have strawberry lol.

The flower and heart one "Chamomile" fragrance. Would have to be my favourite

The Silicone mold making process has been a bit frustrating at times - trying to find a product that is cheap enough to make the mold pattern with and doesnt react with the silicone causing it not to set. Mr Google does not always get it right. After a lot of trial and error I am getting there. Just have to find a better way to make my 7cm x 25.2cm walls - that is sturdy enough and again wont cause issues with the silicone. As again I cant buy a frame that is the required dimensions, story of my life - but then if it was easy everyone would be doing it.

The pink didnt work, reacted with the silicone, but the kids will enjoy using it when they next come for the school holidays - so that is not wasted. The green will work as used before, just bit the bullet and ordered more but in white this time. It is reusable if I am careful. But it is more expensive.

It is all very well buying a mold but I want different -lol

So the journey continues!!

Corriedale & Silk (Anna Gratton Ltd) blends I have hand spun and woven into this wrap. Wrap is 220cm long (Excluding fringes) 75cm wide.

Has beautiful drape and warmth. Colours are certainly pretty together.

Nice day today - apart from being a bit fresh outside!!! Gift scarf finished and pleased with the result. Fine Merino (around 3ply) which I dyed nice bright colours. Certainly brighter than the pictures show for sure- upload has of course dulled them about 60% Think Magenta, sky blue, duckling, Aqua, Monarch, Chartreus, Royal Purple

I put this -my hand spun Haunui Wool with camel fibre aside until I thought my options thru. It was always going to be a weave and it is beautifully soft.

I finally decided to dye my 3 x 200gm hanks. Given it was Toffee colour base I had to go dark, so used what is called "Berry Crush" and my favourite green "Moss Green" where I add "Chartreus" to give the green a certain pop.

Pictures have uploaded slightly washed out more a deep berry red than showing and the green has taken on a dark Olive/Brown, with patches where the Chartreus has had an effect to lighted it up. Very pleased with the result.

Once the Grandies go home I will warp onto the Rigid Heddle and post progress. (Small house problem)

1st proper soap with the first mold I made. Goats Milk base with Chamomile and Sweet Pea fragrance. Attempted swirl base also.

Grandma duties as School Holidays. Sienna and I made some soap today - her choice of colours. Using a mold I made. Pleased with the results as did an extra layer of flowers including grass behind the teddies and rabbits. Will do again myself with less air bubbles, 10 year olds enthusiasm -lol

Not much other crafting done, have finished the scarf, but waiting for a better day to take photos and the green Haunui Wool first bobbin is coming along, be it slowly.
