Meet the incredible Ashleigh Hughes!
“Hi everyone, My names Ashleigh.
Super excited to be apart of The Spectacle this year, I will be doing the 10k trail run.
I’ve always been a solo runner, but over the past year I have started to get involved with the run club meetings that happen around our beautiful top of the south area. Waimea Harriers and Nelson Athletics put on some incredible runs during the year and I love having a challenge and been around liked minded people. One of my favorites was the “Harris Hill challenge” it was fabulous and what a view.
My youngest son Israel is completing in the Mile run, and it’s been a lot of fun training with him.
Nelson Tasman Hospice is an incredibly important facility that has helped so many people, my mum Kelly has been a nurse there for years and I know she has helped so many families during their hardest moments in their life, and this is why I have decided to help fundraise for them, and bringing awareness to this community lifeline.
