Had a great couple of sets with good mates eke, murph, still plenty of spinnys around l caught all my snapper on Octopus, l did get a few spinnys on the Ocy but not as many as the fish baits, and yes Dion Ross it was caught today at foxton 9th September lol eke and murph caught some nice fish as well we only did 2 sets each bring on the next weather window l have a couple of Octopus still if anyone wants 1 cheers Mike

Had a great morning at foxton with Stephen Ross , Mike Murphy, and Allen Kilgour tide was very big thatz why my ute is up high. My biggest snapper was caught on crab was very pleased to catch a couple of gurnard, not much rubbish fish, l still have a couple of crab pots left, at times the surf was very big but no trouble for the mighty horse 🐎 (seahorse S60) also managed to get the pony express ( seahorse S33)

Had a cool morning 2day down at our local beach with murph, definitely was bit chilly even had a frost on the sand hills in places. But ended up with 2 nice
snapper but also plenty of spinnys so will be putting crab pot in next time. Murph caught a couple of nice snapper as well on crab baits which the spinnys don't eat, l still have a few of my new crab pots in stock if you need 1, best thing about the late winter fishing we pretty much had the beach to ourselves cheers Mikes Salted Bait and watching for next weather window with Mike Murphy

Ist time out since l got back from the bay of plenty area, was a very pleasant morning 2day with eke, young Rylan and dribble l managed to catch dinner, hardly any current this morning at foxton beach also not many spinnys or red cod. Will be watching for next weather window l hoping to get back up to bay of plenty area again b4 winter is over its a
magic place up there.

Sam sent me this photo of a nice snapper he caught using my salted kahawai. Sam was fishing waitarere south yesterday using the new Seahorse S60 kontiki, he said they caught no spinnys and a few red cod

We have had a pretty good winter on the lower north lsland west coast, now is a great time to get your winch all ready for those big spring snapper.
