The rumours are true!

I have sold Cottage Flair as of Monday 21st October 2024.
These are not easy words to say, but after 29 years, it’s time for me to step back.

What an incredible journey it has been and I am so grateful to have been able to share with you all, my journey in the world of patchwork, quilting and more.

I have loved being part of your lives and proud of what we have taught you over the years in our classroom. I am even more proud of how creative you all are!

To my customers that have supported me throughout this time, you absolutely rock! Many of you have become very loyal friends and I wouldn’t be where I am today without you.

I want to give the biggest thanks to all my staff that have supported me over the years.

A huge thank you to the many awesome tutors who have taught at Cottage Flair and helped to make it an amazingly creative place to be.

To they many wholesalers and their reps that have supported the business - a big thank you.

I am delighted and excited that Michelle Harris is going to be the new owner. Michelle is a very talented lady and I know she will continue providing great service and create lots of creative opportunities for you all. I will continue to help Michelle in the shop for now so you will see me when you call in.

Watch out for Cottage Flair’s brand new website to be launched soon.

The shop will be closed for stock taking from Saturday 19th October and re-opening on Tuesday 22nd October.

From time to time a website needs the sort of maintenance that can’t be done in the blink of an eye, while everyone is asleep. I know, crazy!

It is the turn of our Event Calendar to join the System Maintenance queue and get an overhaul and an upgrade. While this is being done you can still book your class space online but will need to pay in store before your class date or you can contact us for alternative payment methods.

We are assured this will be done before the next unveiling of awesome classes we have lined up for you for Summer 24/25.

Unfortunately, it is that time of year when winter chills are knocking us all about and the staff at Cottage Flair are not immune. 🤧

Like many small businesses we run on the smell of an oily rag and so have had to make the call to close for a few days and let our staff recover from the nasty bugs doing the rounds.

All going well we will be back on deck Tuesday 11th June.

The Easter weather forecast is showing cooler temperatures but plenty of sunshine so some garden time, forest walks as well as time stitching is on my agenda. How about you?

We will be closed the public holidays - Good Friday and Easter Monday and open Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st March from 9.30am-3.00pm. However if it's quiet we'll be closing the doors early. So pop in and see us for any last minute purchases or to top up on project supplies early.

From time to time websites needs a tweak and a tickle up!

As much as we love the saying "girls can do anything" the girls at Cottage Flair draw the line at tinkering with the beast that is the website and so are leaving this task up to the our clever IT peeps.

If you are visiting our site and see an error message or are unable to complete a class booking or purchase, don't worry this will only be temporary while our site is under maintenance and we will be up and running again as soon as possible.
