Perfect day for a ride in the forest.

Busy day dyno testing on Saturday. I was interested to see the effect of gas pressure changes on our ST29 shock.
The Force vs Velocity graph that depicts Hysteresis - shows almost no change between 150 - 80 psi gas pressure. The rod force increases with gas pressure and that rod force acts as spring rate. Sunday was perfect for trail testing. Blue bird day on the Velduro - best handling bike I’ve ever owned.

Holidays are over - back to work.

Once upon a time there was a little boy who watched all the other kids ripping around on home made bikes. The little boy decided there and then that one day when he had saved enough money he would reach out to a distant relative known only as ‘Uncle Norm’ and ask him to build a fush and Chup, chur bro, pavlova of a kiwi bike. Before Uncle Norm would undertake this most noble of tasks,  he asked the little boy what type of riding the boy wanted to do. The little boy thought about this for only a few seconds before he looked up at Uncle Norm with excitement and said something that can handle Frankenfirter/Riff Raff/Rocky Horror, The Wairoa Gorge and Salmon Run in QT. Uncle Norm thought about this for a minute before saying “little boy it sounds to me that you like to ride steep, technical terrain”. What happened next? Only time will tell. The end.
