Anyone keen to check out the McGregor Hansen community r***e range at Douglas?
North Taranaki branch of the NZDA is holding some open days starting this weekend, details below

"For anyone keen to come along and check out our first-class range complex we'll be holding two open days.
Sunday 20 September – from 10am
Sunday 4 October – from 10am
The range will be open to members and non-members, giving everyone a chance to have a look around and try out our new ShotMarker electronic targets.
ShotMarker is an electronic target system that instantly shows where each shot lands on a tablet, without needing to walk down to the target.
Our range has shooting mounds every 100m, from 100m right through to 800m, all fitted with astroturf, so no more lying in the grass.
Bring your r***e, as many rounds as you’d like to shoot, and a bipod or suitable rest, as shooting will be from the prone position only. A safety briefing will be held before shooting begins.

LOCATION:
The range is on Walter Road, approximately 4km past Douglas on the left-hand side. Follow Walter Road to the end until you reach the range shed – hopefully you’ll see plenty of cars there.
