🐄 Meet the Team Monday – Vet Tech Edition!

It’s been a while since we’ve introduced some of the faces behind the RSC, so today we’re shining the spotlight on our awesome Vet Tech team!

At the moment, they’re right in the thick of calf disbudding season, working their way around the Bay helping farmers get calves done safely, efficiently and with as little stress as possible.
You’ll mostly see this crew during teat-sealing and calf-disbudding season, when there’s plenty of work to get through and some very full days on the road!
They may only join us at certain times of the year, but they’re an essential part of making these busy seasons run smoothly.
We’re lucky to have such a capable and caring Vet Tech crew on the RSC team 💚

🦉Early bird or night owl: Both unfortunately. I often walk my dogs & horse early in the morning and late at night.
🔥A hill you'll die on?: Women’s razors / tools / clothing etc. should not be available in pastel colours just for women! (Let’s see some dudes rocking pink work boots!)
💖 Best part about working at the RSC?: Ordering in plants to make the place look pretty and giving advice about producing your own food, which I am very passionate about.
🧠Best piece of advice? : Don’t be afraid to get things wrong, life is often a succession of questionable decisions. Just get out there and have a go!
😤Pet peeve ? : Women’s clothes with fake / small or no pockets.

Outside of work you’ll find Jay getting up to horse shenanigans, gardening, dog walking, growing seedlings and listening to endless audiobooks while doing all of the above.

Outside of work Regan likes to relax with family, friends and animals, riding her wonderful horse Shaggy or curling up with a book. Alan and Regan also keep busy running a local Dairy Maintenance business. Feeling blessed to live in Golden Bay and work at RSC.

🦉 Early bird or night owl? Definitely an early bird so I can hit the gym before work.
🔥 A hill you'll die on? You can't leave the house without giving the dogs a kiss goodbye.

🧠 Best piece of advice? Your word is your bond.
😤 One thing you can't stand? Burgers should only be eaten with your hands. If it needs to be cut up, it's not a burger — it's a mess!

Outside of work...
Dan enjoys life at home with his wonderful wife, tackling projects on their "life sentence" block, and heading out for beach walks with Zola and Lulu. You'll also find him having wrestling matches with Lulu the Rottie, keeping fit in his home gym, slaying monsters and the undead in his gaming time, and is happiest when going out to the pub for a meal and a pint. 🍻🐾
