We checked out the Taupo Hobby Expo this morning on Day 2 of their event 🚂 ✈️ 🚗

In its 31st year this event always delivers for its hobby enthusiasts 💯

Remote control vehicles.. trains.. Minis.. War medals.. diecast.. LEGO.. even some liquorice for sale 😁

Currently in construction mode 🚧🏗️

You can see the vision already and there is a ton of space.. very exciting 💯

There is a private room for D&D 🎲 🐉

A massive space for TCGs and Board Games 😎

WHAT AN AWESOME EVENT!!!

That was something else 🤯 💥 🤯

A massive massive thanks to everyone for showing up and supporting the Taupō Collectibles Event 💯

The vendors for bringing the heat and making the effort to be there 🔥🔥🔥

Both our charities Lake Taupo Hospice and Unseen Heroes were great on the door 🙏🏻

K's Kitchen and BigRed Mobile Coffee for supplying the food and drinks 🍗 ☕

Lake FM Taupō 89.6 for the amazing coverage across the morning 📻

The venue staff for putting up with us the last couple months and especially yesterday 😅

We can confirm that we had a total of over 1900 people come to the event yesterday and raised over $7k in the 5 hours!!!!

Definitely a new record for both and we truly do appreciate it.. Being able to help these charities and also get new collectibles for everyone is a blessing 💯

A big thanks from myself and my wife.. what a banger of a day!!!!!

Had an epic time with Sam today, the organiser of the Taupō Collectibles Event.

I helped him set up a few of the tables for a bit, then had to head off for family stuff and enjoy the holiday, but it was so good to finally meet him properly.

Sam is such a generous, genuine guy who really puts his heart into the Taupō event. It was awesome meeting another fellow collector, but also another event organiser.

We had a good chat about running events and all the trials and tribulations that come with it. There are honestly only a handful of people who truly understand the mountain of work involved and the stress that happens behind the scenes.

We love doing these events, but most people never see the months of work, planning, problem solving and commitment that goes into making them happen.

I’m honestly in awe of Sam’s efforts to build something special for his community.

Make sure you head along tomorrow and support the event.

See you guys there tomorrow ❤️

A huge weekend in the Mighty Waikato with TWO events kicking off 💯

Card Market and The Waikato Comics, Toys and Games Fair is tomorrow at the Claudelands Event Centre from 9am onwards 😁

Both events will be filled with a ton of collectibles so if you are looking for something to do check it out!!!!
