My liberty rice bag is turning into quite the stitch sampler. It’s going to be a fantastic teaching canvas. First up to get the kit into the shop. Pattern writing tomorrow and construction of the actual bag. The embroidery has been fun - can t wait to see the finished bag. 🌺🌼🌸

Now for the magic ⭐️. Looking at using It’s a perle12 and I think it will work a treat on the woolen rice bag. On the one I am looking forward to trying these varigated threads. Also picking some Liberty Tana lawn for the next version. Of course I’ve jumped to the brights but maybe a more subtle one might be in line too.

Today’s job is making up some samples and kits for a rice bag. There are going to be three options. Colourful wool, Japanese Taupes and Liberty circles. All on a lovely linen fabric. Thinking I also might offer them as a ready to embroider option - ie I will stitch down the circles for you and then you can start embroidering them straight away. This will be a class at StitchMakers mid June. I sold one of the Japanese kits just while sitting here working on it. That was super encouraging. 💕💕
