These cotton items were purchased mainly because I thought they were lovely. Some were sourced from Cimmuwa, an organization that works with rural women to develop handicrafts, incorporating their unique weaving and dyeing skills while preserving their cultural heritage. Others were handmade in Chiang Mai.
Sizing can be tricky, so Iāve included a description and measurements as accurately as possible. But Iām always happy to answer any questions or take short videos if that would be helpful.
Hat - $20
The circumference of the hat is 46 cm, which, according to average head sizes, would fit a child of 18 months or younger.
Karen Top - $20
This top is a traditional Karen style that is the same front and back, symbolizing their values of straightforwardness and truthfulnessāwhat you see is what you get, no matter which angle you look at it. This loose-style top measures 36 cm across (width) and 40 cm long, and would suit a child aged 2-3 years.
Crossover Top - $25
This top measures (when flat) underarm to underarm (38 cm) and shoulder to hem (40 cm). Based on the sizes of traditional button-up shirts, I would say this is approximately a size 5.
