this is the recipe for homemade oreos used in the cookies and cream ice cream 🍦 it’s a surprisingly easy recipe, and they are waaayyy more delicious than store bought oreos too 🍪

dark chocolate cookie

150g plain flour
60g dark cocoa powder
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
110g butter - room temp
160g caster sugar
50g brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla essence

vanilla crème filling

60g butter
60g vegetable shortening
300g icing sugar
20ml milk
2 tsp vanilla essence

method

1. Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt.
2. Cream butter and sugars.
3. Add egg and vanilla.
4. Mix in dry ingredients to form dough.
5. Chill 30 mins.
6. Roll into balls and flatten slightly.
7. Bake at 180°C for 8 mins. Cool completely.
8. Beat filling ingredients until smooth.
9. Sandwich together.
