The Historic Village is a community hub that has an eclectic mix of businesses, community organisations, arts studios, historic buildings and venues for hire. The Village is open and free to the public to visit year round, with retail and café trading hours Tuesday - Saturday 10am to 3pm. Please be respectful of the entire community by complying with the terms and policies of Facebook and avoid posting spam or comments that:

The team took out runner-up in the BOP Ethnic Eats Award at the NZ Hospitality Awards on Monday night 🎉

📣Announcing our last CREATIVE COMMUNITY CINEMA for 2026, (yes, the year is going that fast!) the Village Community Cinema presents CRUELLA, running with our programmed theme of celebrating the artistry of costume design.

🧶🧵🖍️✏️ Launching this year with two themed seasons, these Creative Community Cinema events have been a whole lot of fun. It's been wonderful to watch this global crafty cinema concept catch on amongst local cinema lovers, with attendees all contributing to the community vibe, working on their latest crafty project whilst enjoying an arts-inspired film together.

If you've been wanting to check it all out, come join us for our last Creative Community Cinema event for the year, it's a whole lot of fun! 🎉

Meet the Villagers - Ichiban - Japanese Poke & Donburi 🍜💛

Meet Karen, the passionate owner behind Ichiban, one of the delicious eateries at The Village.

After building a loyal following through their popular food truck, Karen and her husband Diego opened Ichiban at The Village back in May, bringing authentic Japanese street food to the heart of Tauranga.

Known for their fresh donburi and poke bowls, they're now expanding the menu with some delicious new additions, including warming chicken ramen and indulgent apple dumplings served with Kapiti ice cream 🍎🥟
