Fog meant we couldn’t get up into the Worsley/Castle area to check trap lines for Fiordland Wapiti Foundation so we switched it up and headed into Shallow Bay Hut for a lunch break instead.

Not a bad backup plan at all… and it turned into something even better.
Stumbled across a pretty special little surprise just off the Kepler Track 🦌

This is just a wee shout out /appreciation post for an amazing artist. If you have been in the shop recently you may have noticed this beautiful wood & antler carving. Hand crafted by the very talented Andrew BurrWoodies Antler Art. He is also the man that created the Wapiti Wahine Trophy you would have seen in store.
Thanks for making our wee shop look amazing Andrew.
