Is anyone else enjoying the local bird life at the moment?

I feel so lucky to be able to photograph our native birds in my own backyard. This Tui was just about to check out our new bird feeder.

I love the way his plumage flicks to the side.

Galaxy - Fiordland

There is really nothing quite like photographing the stars. Our cameras see even more than our eyes in this situation.
This was taken on our way back from shooting the stars at Milford Sound last winter. It was an unforgettable night.

Karearea- Te Anau

After weeks and weeks of searching I finally captured this snap of the New Zealand Falcon. It has been hanging around the shores of Te Anau for a few months and I've had friends texting me it's whereabouts. Whenever I reached the area spotted it was always never there. To say frustration was mounting is an understatement. It seemed that everyone was seeing it except me. But now, I realise the wait was worth it.
