Hi! I’m Anita, the person behind Growing Abundance Flowers, Gardening and Education.
I’m a Mum of two energetic, amazing boys, a wife to a hunter, engineer and wonderful man, and a daughter, sister and friend to some very special people in my life.
I spent most of my childhood in and around Te Aroha and never planned to come back, but I’m so grateful that my journey has brought me here. I love living in this community and growing my family, business and life here.
I grew up playing in and around gardens, with family in all directions having gardens of all sizes — feeding themselves and often others too. I’ve had gardens in every place I’ve lived as an adult. And love growing, harvesting and catching what we need as a family.
These days our life is a mix of family, our home, our dogs, chickens, a few beefies, the flower farm, gardening work, floristry, school runs, projects, getting outside and generally trying to keep everything moving.
When everything is stripped away, I’m curious, creative and a nature seeker. I love learning, making, growing and being around people. I’m happiest when I’m outside, when there is something to be working on, or when we’re all together doing ordinary life.
