Being a mum to Beau and Maddison is my greatest joy, and one of my favourite things is having my girls by my side in the craft room while I create.

Remember the cosy comfort those pure wool blankets gave us as kids? Nothing warms you like cuddling a hot water bottle. They’ve been around forever, and for good reason. Wool is naturally antiseptic and absorbent. Hot water bottles provide warmth, comfort and can soothe aches and pains.

Handmade by me in my studio by up-cycling vintage New Zealand made wool blankets including the original blanket stitching. They will keep your hot water bottle cover warmer for longer. They each have an envelope closure. Simply pull up or down over the top of the bottle, there is no need to remove the cover to fill.

Handmade Mum’s Hottie covers are a lovely, snuggly and caring gift, perfect for any time of the year.

With Cyclone Vaianu heading our way, we just wanted to send a little message out to everyone here in Thames, the Coromandel, and across the North Island 💛

Please stay safe this weekend, take it easy, and make sure you’re prepared. We’ve got our radio batteries sorted, containers filled with drinking water, and we’re hunkering down ready to ride it out.

Our plan? A cozy day inside binge-watching the latest Gold Rush tomorrow 🙌

I asked Beau to bring her shoes into the laundry so they didn’t blow away in the wind… and this is how she did it 😍 lined up perfectly like a little display. Safe to say her priorities are in the right place!

Here at home, Perrin and I are keeping things simple with Beau and Maddison 💕 We’re planning some easy day trips, plenty of Easter eggs, and soaking up some family time together.
