Just because your water still looks clean doesn't mean your filter is doing its job.

Over time, water filters become clogged with sediment, dirt, chlorine and other contaminants. As they fill up, water flow can slow, filtration performance drops, and your system has to work harder.

Regularly replacing your filter helps:
• Improve water quality and taste
• Maintain water pressure and flow
• Protect your filtration system
• Ensure your family continues to receive clean, filtered water

How often should you replace your filter? It depends on your system, water quality and household usage, but most cartridges should be changed every 6–12 months.

Not sure if it's time for a replacement? Our team can help you identify the right filter for your system and keep your water performing at its best.

The Rural Support Trust provides free, confidential support to people facing the challenges that come with rural life—whether it's adverse weather, financial pressure, wellbeing, or simply having someone to talk to.

As locals who work with rural communities every day, we understand the importance of looking after more than just water. Strong communities are built by supporting the people behind them.

If you or someone you know could use a helping hand, remember that support is available through the Rural Support Trust.

We often get asked, "What does Think Water actually do?"

The short answer? If it's related to water, there's not much we don't do.
Some people know us for our retail stores. Others know us for our installation projects. The reality is we're both... and more.

One day we're designing irrigation systems for farms. The next we're repairing a pump breakdown, helping a customer choose a water filtration system, setting up an off-grid solar pumping solution, or developing an irrigation system for a rural property.

Our team works across irrigation, pumps, water filtration, stock watering, water testing, solar pumping, water tanks, dewatering, dust suppression, agricultural water systems, and stock water solutions — just to name a few.

We design it. We supply it. We install it. We service it.

From backyards and lifestyle properties through to farms, commercial sites, sports fields, and large-scale agricultural projects, our teams work with water every single day.

So whether your water needs to flow, spray, filter, store, transfer, recycle, or simply start working again, Think Water is here to help.

Is your pump costing you money?

Many pump problems don't cause an immediate breakdown. Instead, they quietly increase your power bill, reduce performance, and shorten the life of your equipment.

One of the biggest warning signs is a pump that constantly starts and stops. This is known as short cycling and can be caused by pressure tank issues, leaks, or incorrect system settings. Not only does it increase wear and tear, but it can also lead to higher energy consumption.

Other signs to watch for include reduced water pressure, unusual noises, longer run times, or a pump that seems to be running when no water is being used. These can all indicate that your system is working harder than it should be.

A small leak, blocked filter, worn impeller, or failing pressure tank can force your pump to use more electricity while delivering less performance. Left unchecked, these issues can eventually lead to costly repairs or premature pump replacement.

Regular servicing can help identify problems early, improve efficiency, and extend the life of your pump.

If your pump doesn't seem to be performing like it used to, it might be time for a check-up. Talk to your local Think Water team about servicing, troubleshooting, and making sure your system is running as efficiently as possible.
