Mike will give you a fishing experience that you will want to share with your friends. Boat can take up to 4 anglers the cost is $100 per hour for the boat ( for 1 person or 4). We are being spoilt at the moment, settled weather and big fat hungry rainbows.
Pat swift uv bodied flies, green orbit, ginger micks and Grey ghosts are the pick.
I find fishing the shallower water produces very mixed results, loads of small fish and a lot of very skinny recovering fish.
For better quality target depths around the 50 to 65meters and don't hesitate to move around a bit.

There is nothing wrong with the condition of the Taupo trout at the moment, and they are on the bite.
I'm finding the better fish are in the 150 to 200ft zone.
