In between waiting for paint to dry, sewing 12 bag handle straps, installing purse feet into the bottoms of six laptop bags and everything else happening around here, I somehow managed to get this Warriors bag finished today!! 💙💚❤️

Not a bad effort considering I’ve been bouncing between the bathroom and the cabin all weekend! 😂

One more bag finished, six laptop bags well underway, and a bathroom that’s finally finished!

Now, if only I could figure out how to add a few more hours to the day! 🤣

We’re crafting on a different scale today! 😂🖌️

If you’ve been wondering why the sewing and cabin updates have been a little quiet, this is what I’ve been up to!

Because apparently spending my weekends working in the cabin wasn’t enough to keep me busy, I’ve now got around six weeks to get the rest of our house finished as well! 🤦‍♀️

When I renovated our toilet, I thought DIY would be just like crafting, only on a larger scale. I very quickly discovered how wrong I was! 🤣 Unfortunately, I still haven’t won Lotto, so here we are, doing it ourselves!

Do I ever sit still? Nope!
Do I have ADHD? Absolutely!
Am I overstimulated? You bet!
Am I likely to slow down anytime soon? Not bloody likely! 😂

There might even be a little sewing happening this evening, assuming I’ve still got the energy to lift my arms after all this painting!

Right, better get back to it. This bathroom isn’t going to paint itself! 🤣

Six laptop bags = a LOT of pieces! 😂

This weekend was all about finishing cutting out all the remaining pieces and getting stuck into the exterior prep.

There’s definitely a production line happening now, with front panel slip pockets, magnetic snaps, bag feet and all those exterior pieces working their way through the different stages.

Still plenty to do, but a pretty productive weekend in the cabin!

And now it’s back to the day job tomorrow. 😂

The Warriors jersey I showed you earlier is still curing after being waterproofed, and tonight I’ve been back at the cutting table working through more of the six laptop bags.

A little bit of cabin time tonight!

While this Warriors jersey was being prepped and readied for waterproofing, there was just enough time to get a little more work done on the Panthers bag.

Not a huge amount of cabin time tonight, but both are now another step further along.

No sports jersey updates from me this weekend!

I’ve been head down working on the six laptop bags I started showing you the other day.

All 12 lining pieces have now been stabilised and cut — six will have zip pockets and six won’t. Next job is making the laptop straps, because they need to be attached to those black top panels before I can join them to the printed lining.

Batch making six bags at once definitely makes for a bit of a production line! 😂

Well, I’m home! ❤️

I’ve spent the last few days in Thames helping my friend Janice get Oh Sew Eazy ready to open — her brand new creative space for all things fabric, fibre and craft.

And while I was away, I did manage to sneak in a little bit of uNiquely Hands Crafted work too! 😂

Six laptop bags have been ordered, so whenever there was a bit of downtime I started getting everything cut and prepped ready to bring home with me.

There’s still a fair bit of cutting to go, but six bags are officially underway! 🙌

Now I just need to remember where everything is in my own cabin after spending the past few days playing in someone else’s creative space. 😂

Before I hit the road for Thames, I have one last job to do — get this Panthers jersey prepped and waterproofed so it can spend the next few days curing while I’m away. Then when I get home, it’ll be ready for its transformation! 😍

Yep… I really do transform jerseys that aren’t Warriors jerseys! 😂
