Moutere Artisans A collective of artisans from the rural idyll of Upper Moutere, Nelson It is home to ceramics artists, sculptors and jewellers.

Upper Moutere – a small village outside Nelson in New Zealand’s South Island – is home to a bunch of creative and productive people. They make glorious wine, stunning sheep cheese, olives oils, they grow gourmet mushrooms, make black garlic and small good meats the old-fashioned way. The Moutere Inn is the oldest pub in New Zealand and pours 14 artisan beers. These people are the Moutere Artisans and they invite you to share their very special village. Stay in the village’s unique accommodation, fill your cellar and pantry, choose a work of art to take home.

There's ice on the pond and snow on the mountains here at Fatal Attraction Carnivorous Plants.
The big winter plant mess has been trimmed, tidied, split and repotted.
The saracenia pond was emptied and scrubbed out, the fish will be reinstalled as the weather warms up, and the plants are making their way back in via the potting shed, with Bozzy the dog overseeing all aspects of the process and snoozing in the potting shed in front of the heater when the boredom sets in.
We'll have some stunning new plants available this season, see you at the Moutere Artisans open day and/or Ngatimoti Festival on Labour Weekend Sunday.

Winter was made for Chardonnay... and last night's local fish & mussel spaghetti, topped with garden-fresh parsley, was the perfect accompaniment.

Flaxmore Vineyards' Chardonnay is hand-harvested, wild fermented and matured for nine months in French barrels. Crushed peach and nectarine, a hint of citrus, with beautifully restrained oak, fine acidity and a long, luscious finish . A true expression of the Moutere.

After 6 years of quick growth, it was time to update branding that will serve well into the future.

Same quality. Same product. Same great team. Just updated branding as Neudorf Black continues to grow.

There will be a period of transition from current labels to the new look labels but we think it's looking great!

Come for a tour through and learn about the fascinating world of carnivorous plants.
1947 Moutere highway between Davey and Flaxmore rds, near Flaxmore Vineyards .
Then go and grab lunch from foods, we've stocked up! So many goodies!
Visit Jane Duncan Artist and Check out her beautiful work, then follow the foodie and wine and Peckham's Cider trail up Neudorf Rd, more galleries, more places in the village.
