They say "It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good"....... but we aren't sure if anyone got any "good" out of the horrible gusty wind tonight.

Here at Otago Fresh Milk, we were very proud of the huge rosemary bush beside the shop.
We knew it had roots well down into the ground, but unfortunately that didn't save it tonight. 😔

We'll look for a new pot for it tomorrow and hope it can be saved.

More calf spam for your viewing pleasure!
Two nights ago, first time mum Blue had her gorgeous baby boy. She was well supported as her mum Bree is currently also in the maternity paddock, and Grandma Betsy, who had her baby boy last month, is waiting to welcome Blue to the milking herd.
DB Blackrose had her beautiful baby girl today (while Shelli was busy at the craft market).
Both mums and both babys are doing well.

Don't forget we get an extra hour in bed tonight, as the clocks go back!
Our farm shop will be open tomorrow as usual, from 8am to 6pm (new time!)

Due to ongoing fuel price rises, we at Otago Fresh Milk will be turning back the clock and pulling our lovely horse Monkey out of her semi-retirement in the paddock, to replace the delivery truck.

Please get your orders in by 12 noon today, for horse-drawn delivery!

Hot off the press news - and hot out of the oven! Ally the jersey heifer just had her little girl.

It's fair to say Ally is pretty impressed with herself - as are we all here at Otago Fresh Milk.

Betsy did a thing......

Beautiful Brown Swiss cow Betsy welcomed her gorgeous baby boy this morning. Doesn't she look pleased with herself?!

Betsy is the oldest Brown Swiss in the herd at almost 8 years old, and has several daughters on the farm already. Katie owns all the Brown Swiss families here as breeding them is her passion.
