Waipu Street Market

Waipu Street Market The BIG market in the little town
Run 3 times a year. Auckland Anniversary, Kings Birthday and Labour Weekend.
150+ Stalls of lots of goodies!

The Waipu Business & Community Inc is a non-profit community group of community and business members based in the wonderful town of Waipu in Northland. We operate under the name Love Waipu, because love for Waipu and it's people is what we are all about. Street Markets have been running in Waipu for a number of years in one form or another. A few years ago a group of volunteers decided to take the

Street Markets in hand and have grown them to the wonderful Street & Park Markets we all love. The driver behind the markets is to share our town with outsiders and to promote our community and to provide opportunities for our growing population. Love Waipu's aims with the markets is to:
* highlight the many artisans and craftspeople within Waipu and our wider communities.
* give local charities an outlet to raise funds from a wider group of visitors
* provide Love Waipu with funds to complete community projects and put on local events. The Love Waipu volunteers hope you enjoy your visit to the markets. If you have any feedback please message us on [email protected]

Today the reputation of the markets mean that stalls are often booked out months in advance and requests for stalls always exceeds space available. We have people from Auckland to the Far North who journey to Waipu for each Street Market.

Well, that’s a wrap on our King’s Birthday Market!

A big thanks to everyone who came down and made the most of the day.

Shout out to our stallholders, volunteers, entertainers, and everyone who stopped by to support the market. Despite a few weather forecasts trying to keep us on our toes, the rain largely stayed away and it turned into a great day out.

See you all again at Labour Weekend! ☀️
