💚A New Chapter for Books on Parade💚

After a lot of thinking (and honestly, a lot of emotions), I’ve decided it’s time for me to sell the bookshop.

This has been such a big part of my life for 6 years, so letting it go is quite emotional. There are so many memories tied up in this place - the good times, the hard times, the wins, the everyday moments, and all the joy it’s brought me.

We’ve been through things I never imagined as a business owner. Covid, floods, cyclones - and somehow the shop kept going. That’s 100% because of this incredible community, my awesome customers, my little dream team (Mum & Becca) and my whānau who backed me the whole way. I truly couldn’t have done this without you all 🫶🏼

Owning this shop has taught me so much about business, resilience, and also myself. I’ve met the coolest people, had the best chats and laughs over the counter, and made memories I’ll always be grateful for, especially getting to work alongside my Mum 💗

I’m really happy to share that as of Monday 30th March, Becca will be taking over as the new owner, and she honestly deserves this so much! She already pours so much heart and energy into the shop, and I know she’ll keep it growing while holding onto everything people love about it. Our community is in very good hands - please continue to support her 💚

Mum will still be there which I know so many of you will be happy about. For me, one of the hardest parts of this change is not getting to work alongside Mum anymore. It’s actually really special to share something like this with your mum, and I feel so lucky we got to do it for so long 🫶🏼

Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years. Books on Parade will still be the same warm, welcoming, book-loving space, just with Becca running things now 💛📚
