Hi , my name is Jo Mcphee and I am an Artist based on the Kapiti Coast, just out of Wellington, N.Z. I am surrounded by rolling hills and coastal views which give me inspiration for the work I produce. I have made the Arts my life career and have a background in food 'Midnight Espresso ' and in fashion 'Frutti' shop. I also had my own gallery 'Phejoa ' design at Plimmerton beach for five years. My

main focus now is working with beautiful N.Z Paua Shell which I develop into works of art such as Tuis, N.Z Maps, Feathers and a few other designs. More recently I have been building a body of work using the base of Palm Tree fronds to create feathers.The texture of the fronds imitates the delicate markings of a feather. I hope you enjoy my work. Thank You
