Our Thorndon Hospice Shop is temporarily closed until further notice due to a water leak in the store due to the weather.

Our team is working hard behind the scenes to get everything cleaned up and safely back in order. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know when we can reopen.

Thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support. We know many of you love visiting the shop, and we can't wait to welcome you back through our doors as soon as it's safe to do so. Stay warm and dry. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to the WasteMINZ Conference community for supporting Mary Potter Hospice. 💙

This year, our Hospice Shop team was invited to host a complimentary trade stall at the conference, held at TSB Bank Arena The opportunity was created as part of WasteMINZ’s commitment to giving back to the local community.

Across three days, the stall raised an incredible $1,607 to help support free specialist palliative care for people and whānau across Wellington, Porirua and Kāpiti.

A special thank you to Libby, Assistant Manager at our Mary Potter Hospice Shop Thorndon, and Karen, who managed the stall and helped make this possible.

We’re so grateful for the generosity of everyone who stopped by, browsed, bought something special, and supported hospice care in our community.

Every purchase helps us continue to be there for local patients and families when they need us most. 💙

Due to the current red weather warnings and the State of Emergency in Wellington, we have made the precautionary decision to close all Mary Potter Hospice Shops for the remainder of the day.

Our Inpatient Unit remains open. Community staff will be contacting patients by phone rather than visiting in person where appropriate.

Please take care, stay safe, and look after yourselves, your friends and your whānau. 💛
