Goodness me, what an evening!! We had an absolute ball (our last launch ever 🥲) celebrating Our Jane Arthur and her heckin' beaut children's novel, Brown Bird. Thank you so, so much to all who came and to those who travelled a hellova long way (Wendy, Jenna, Garth, Lou, Daisy). What great support from fellow bookshops and industry people 🐦‍⬛✨️💖 And thanks to Our Catherine for launching the book 🥰 BROWN BIRD is available from us, instore and online! Last Thursday, we hosted our second to last launch (ever, *sob*) for Karen McMillan's historical romance, Turbulent Threads. Our Catherine intro'd before handing over to fellow author Nick Davies (El Flamingo) who sang Karen & the books praises. Karen then explained the inspiration and research of the novel before opening up the floor to some choice audience questions. Many thanks to Karen for being our penultimate launch and to all those who came along. Ngā mihi! ✨️💖
