Finding the perfect leaving gift for a treasured colleague can be tricky. Fresh flower bouquets are a traditional go-to, but if you want something more long lasting, a dried flower frame is an excellent choice 🌷

In December I thought I’d take a casual short break from social media. And now here we are in MAY!! 😅

Thought I’d share a few highlights from the last few months to catch you up…

When it comes to Christmas wreaths, I’m all about the classic red and green. But I can never resist adding a few pops of pink 🩷

These beauties were made for a recent custom order, and they’re a lovely example of how small colour tweaks can make a classic colour palette a little more special.

My daughter Kate and I are proudly Team Christmas! It’s definitely my favourite time of year—filling the house with decorations, singing carols, and enjoying fun times with family and friends.

This big, bright flower frame will be coming to my website this week! It’s filled with some of my favourite dried flowers — all wonderfully easy to dry and brilliant at holding their colour:

❤️ Strawflowers (Helichrysum)
🩷 Larkspur
🧡 Statice
💙 Cornflowers
💛 Billy buttons (Craspedia)
💜 Lavender
💚 Honeywort (Cerinthe)

Most of these beauties are super easy to grow from seed (late winter to early spring is ideal). And if you’re short on time, you may be able to find them as seedlings right now from your local flower grower or garden centre 🌷

If you love your dried flowers bold but not too bright, dried dahlias might be just the thing for you 🌼✨

I’ve been experimenting with drying dahlias over the last couple of summers, and I’m really starting to fall in love with them. They add a soft, almost oil-painting look to arrangements and bouquets, and they’re proving to be wonderfully long-lasting too.

Another bonus? It’s a great way to make use of those short centre stems that might otherwise go to waste on your dahlia plants 🌸
