It’s been a bit quiet on here… but the workshop has been anything but.
Between custom orders and working away on this year’s WOW garment, there’s been a whole lot happening behind the scenes.

Lately, it’s been all about bringing customer ideas to life
• a sailcloth laundry hamper
• a chalk bag for climbing adventures
• a beautiful, weathered sail about to become placemats
• Brill handbags made from recycled sails
• and duffle bags crafted from old Bay Boating Club banners

Every piece with its own past, reworked into something new.
And in the middle of it all… a few tools and materials hinting at what’s been quietly taking shape alongside it 👀

I’ve been a bit quiet here and January is just about done! Its been a mix of family time, jumping back into Sunburst sailing with Brett after six years, a World of WearableArt (WOW) entry bubbling away in the background…and painting the house.
Plus plenty of time at the sewing machine with custom orders (thank you).

Back now and looking forward to sharing a few new things with you over the next little while…

We’re teaming up with The Flock Pop Up for a 3 day pop up in our Rongotai workshop. NZ made gifts including jewellery, ceramics, homeware, art, clothing, baby and kids goodies plus AQ bags (with some bargains and one offs!)

Upcycled sail cushions...made just for you!

These cushions are crafted from real sails, each with stitching and little details that tell a story of adventures at sea. Backed in durable Sunbrella fabric with a YKK zip, they’re built to last and perfect for indoor or outdoor use. And each has an eyelet in the corner - useful if you want to hang if not in use.

Customise with your choice of letters and numbers – a sail number from a favourite boat, a milestone birthday, or anything meaningful. Available in 50×50 cm or 40×40 cm, and with or without the inner.
