Event Schedule: Week of 15/06/2026

Key Highlights for the Upcoming Week:

🔹Pokemon Players! Another reminder we have a new pokemon event on Mondays at 6:15pm, our Gym leader Challenge events! Come on down to take part in a different way to play pokemon!
🔹 On Friday we have the prerelease for the new Marvel Super Heroes Magic the gathering set, as well as a Super Armory for our Flesh and Blood players! We're sure it'll be another amazing Friday night.
🔹 Over the weekend we will be CLOSED to the general public as we host Flesh and Blood Nationals! It'll be an exciting weekend, doors opening earlier than normal to our FAB players at 8am!

Over 90 players join us tonight at Card Merchant Wellington to play their favourite games!

We have 34 players joining us for the first week of this month’s Commander league, come along every week to get some sweet prizes!

Our Riftbound Nexus night is going strong as always, with 15 players attending tonight, with a large variety of decks.

10 people are here playing Pokemon and Disney Lorcana, with another many more enjoying some casual games of commander and mahjong.

Shoutout to everyone who joined us tonight, hope you all had fun, and we can’t wait to see everyone again next time!

Another Card Merchant blast from the past! 2019 is also when Jack joined the the Card Merchant team which was likely step 1 in this store here in Wellington existing :D

Card Merchant in 2019!

2019 marks a significant year for TCGs, as Flesh and Blood was released! We're proud to have been there from the start, supporting events and stocking products since Welcome to Rathe!

2019 is also when we added Squishmallows to the range! It's also when our rewards stamp cards made their debut! The card designs have changed over time and across stores - but keep your eyes peeled, as we have some cool news regarding stamp cards in the near future!

We'd love to hear from you in the comments if you have any memories from 2019! We'll be making regular posts celebrating each year of Card Merchant this month, so stay tuned!

Event Schedule: Week of 08/06/2026

Key Highlights for the Upcoming Week:

🔹Pokemon Players! We have a new event kicking off on Mondays at 6:15pm, our Gym leader Challenge events! Come on down to take part in a different way to play pokemon!
🔹 Catan enjoyers! Saturday June 13th kicks off our second settlement event at 11am. This is a great opportunity to get involved, meet other players, and take part in organized play!

A MASSIVE turnout tonight here at Card Merchant Wellington!

Over 30 commander players are here for Commander League prize giving!

We’re hosting our Grand Archive road to Nationals with 17 players, and many more travelling here for the big event tomorrow, coming by to check out the store! Good luck to everybody competing!

Another 28 are here playing Riftbound and Pokemon.

Thanks to everyone who joined us here tonight, we hope to see everyone again soon!

Event Schedule: Week of 01/06/2026

Key Highlights for the Upcoming Week:

🔹 It's that time again, our Commander league prizegiving! Instead of our usual $5 fee, this week is free to play! We have a ton of goodies to give out to our lucky winners!
🔹 This Friday we also have our Grand Archive Road to Nats event! Come along and get some practice runs in while winning some great prizes!
🔹 Riftbound players! On Saturday we have the first of our Unleased Summoners Skirmishes.
🔹 One piece players! This Sunday we have our OP-16 Release Event! Come sail with us for our One Piece OP-16 -The Time of Battle- release event at Card Merchant Wellington!

80 people join us tonight to play their favourite TCGs at Card Merchant Wellington!

Almost 30 commander players are here for the last week of Commander League!
17 players are here for out Unleashed Nexus night practicing for upcoming skirmishes!

The Pokemon TCG community continues to grow with 15 players here playing their favourite decks! Lots more Disney Lorcana, and other casual players are also here enjoying the space.

This weekend it’s time again for our monthly Pokémon Trade Day!

We’ve got 12 amazing vendors joining us with a huge range of cards, collectibles, and handmade crafts, alongside Trainer Station running learn-to-play sessions throughout the entire day.

Our Trade Days are always an awesome experience, whether you’re looking to trade, pick up something for your collection, meet other players, or learn how to play for the first time.

Join us from 11am this Saturday, we can’t wait to see you all there!

🔹FAB players! This Sunday at 11am is our pre-release for Omens of the Third Age, Flesh and Blood’s next standalone booster set, featuring three Lightning heroes (Runeblade, Illusionist, Wizard).
