Event Schedule: Week of 17/08/2026

Key Highlights for the Upcoming Week:

🔹 Riftbound players! This Saturday at 11am we have our first Vendetta Summoner Skirmish!
🔹 Also this Saturday at 11am we have our Catan Cities event-- if you enjoy Catan, come on down and play!
🔹 On Sunday we have our One Piece OP-17 release event, kicking off at 1pm!

On Saturday, we hosted our Mid-Year Pokémon Celebration, with 21 players joining us for an awesome day of Pokémon!

A massive congratulations to Harry, Ashton and Tyson, who each won their respective divisions and took home one of the special Mid-Year Celebration playmats!

This event also doubled as our first Win an ETB Pokémon event, with Harry taking the overall win and walking away with a Chaos Rising ETB, among other prizes. It's something we'll definitely look to continue for future Saturday tournaments, reserving ETBs from upcoming sets to keep the prize pools strong.

Keep an eye out after the release for some special Pokémon 30th Anniversary Win an ETB tournaments!

Thank you all for coming in tonight to play your favourite card games here at Card Merchant Wellington!

Commander league is back on after our pre-release last week with an awesome turnout of 38 players!

Even with many players away for the 10k, we still have 8 here for our Nexus Night.

Our Pokemon hobby and Lorcana events are also on tonight.
Even more are in store playing casual Commander and Flesh and Blood.

We hope you enjoyed your night, see you guys next time!

A huge thanks to our amazing community, and everyone who came into store tonight at Card Merchant Wellington!

Our MTG Hobbit pre-release is kicking off tonight with 42 players attending! We are running more pre-release events over the weekend, so if you missed out tonight, or just want to play more of this great new set come along!

Riftbound is going strong with 22 players coming in tonight to play some great games!

More people are in store playing Pokemon TCG, Flesh and Blood, Lorcana and Commander.

Key Highlights for the Upcoming Week:

🔹We have another of our fortnightly Beyblade events on this Thursday! Come on down!
🔹Magic Players! This week is an exciting one, the Pre-release week of The Hobbit! Starting on Friday 6pm, we have our Pre-release Day 1 event!
🔹Over the weekend we have more Hobbit goodness, on Saturday at 1pm we have day 2 Pre-release event, and Sunday 1pm is our Two- Headed Giant event!

Thanks to everyone who came to spend their Friday night here with us at Card Merchant Wellington!

This is our first Vendetta inclusive Riftbound Nexus Night, and people are buzzing to test out their new decks! We’re excited to see the new meta developing!

The next Commander league month is starting up as of this week, with 30 players joining by us. Everyone is getting hyped up for Hobbit Pre-Release, running all of next weekend!

Our Pokemon hobby is more popular than ever, with 18 players turning up tonight to play with the brand new Pitch Black cards.

Thanks to everyone who came along tonight, we hope you all had a great time, and we hope to see everyone again soon!

🔹 On Sunday we have our Gundam Newtype Challenge Mission 4 at 2pm!
This is an event held at shops in each region where you can enjoy full-scale card battles and is recommended for intermediate to advanced players who want to test their skills!
