It’s October 1999. the sun dances on the water’s surface of the old bath, that’s been turned into a water trough for the animals. my mind wonders as I watch the tadpoles Swim around in circles than my brother arrives back to the garden with another wheelbarrow load of wool/dags it’s my job to spread it evenly around each seedling 🌱.. if only these were flowers.. but no my parents are far to practical for flower gardens 😆 vegetables are the name of the game. Little did i know we didn’t just use wool because it was convenient being sheep farmers it’s actually super beneficial for

•Moisture retention: Wool fibers act like a sponge, holding multiple times their weight in water and slowly releasing it to plant roots during dry spells.
• Slow-release nutrients: As it breaks down over 6 to 12 months, wool gradually releases valuable nitrogen, potassium, phosphorus, and other trace minerals into the soil.
• W**d suppression: Dense layers or mats of raw wool block sunlight, preventing w**d seed germination around plants.
• Improves soil structure: Mixing wool scraps or pellets into heavy or compacted soils helps aerate the earth and encourages beneficial microbial activity.

So I’m back to my roots growing with wool check out these happy seedlings in wool growing pouches.

It’s 11pm on Sunday night, laying on the floor in front of the fire that had already gone out I have convinced myself it would be easier to just order everything off IKEA and suck up the couple of thousand dollars in set up costs for the florists studio furniture… I flicked my friend a photo the flat pack assembly we would be attacking… but before I hit order on Monday morning the urge to go rogue and build it myself was still nagging at the back of my mind so after delivering the morning’s flowers i popped into the op shop in a last ditch attempt to find something to remodel into studio furniture.. And look what was waiting for me this sold wooden table! what a steal only thing was it wouldn’t fit in the car 😂 but do I ever let anything stop me ?

Every time I get stuck into painting someone calls to order flowers 💐 which I do really appreciate but it’s very echoey and without my admin set up I’m sure I come across very haphazard 🤪 thanks for your patience glad to still be open for business while we get moved into our new space.
