We’re here for you. In the gallery shop, you can now purchase visual diaries in three sizes, blank watercolour postcards in a metal travel tin, bookmark pads and mini watercolour paint to take with you on your walks! Catch those moments of incredible winter colours!

It is hard to believe that winter is just round the corner, when you’re out and about enjoying the last days of the autumn sun. Here, at the Sarjeant Gallery Shop, we’re leaning into all things cosy.

With the long King’s Birthday weekend ahead and school midterm break, we’ve filled the shop with soft blankets, warm socks and spiced tea, and a few fun crafts, games and puzzles for the big and small kids too.

Perfect for slow mornings, rainy afternoons and staying snug at home. So if you’re out of town visiting Whanganui or local, pop in and have a browse - we’d love to see you.

A new publication from Massey University Press “Zines NZ: Punk to Present” by Bryce Galloway is now available at our shop. And while you’re in the books and magazines section, you might smell not only scones and coffee from our cafe, but our new scented candles in very convenient travel tins.

A reminder that Te Whare o Rehua is closed this coming Friday, which is Good Friday. Otherwise, the gallery is open as usual 10-5pm throughout Easter.
