Hi, my name is Gareth and I strive to supply high quality fossils, they are treasures and I want them representing the animal they came from in the best way possible. Pricing is kept low making a lot of these fossils a perfect unique gift idea, a start or addition to your fossil collection or a display/talking piece for your home. On a personal note, my collection started over 4 years ago with an

Otodus obliquus shark tooth but my love for fossils began when I was a child and learned about dinosaurs. After I bought that first shark tooth my desire to learn about and understand the animals represented in my growing collection and the fossils I sell has not stopped.

Sea scorpion fossil - $250
Eurypterus remipes (scientific name)
Silurian - 432–418 million years ago
Cedarville, New York, USA

Eurypterus are an extinct genus of marine arthropods and are commonly (and very appropriately) called sea scorpions with a needle-like final segment and some species having pincer-like arms.
Specimens from this species can easily have a price tag of 4 figures... these are rare and very desirable fossils for collectors!
One eye is clearly preserved in this specimen, the other is there but not so well preserved. In the screenshot from the catalogue, it is noted there is a paddle missing. I do not believe this to be true, I believe the left paddle is tucked alongside the body where the obvious bulge is. I have included the details for specimen number 1408 too as all of the details for 1409 are there and "ditto'd".
This is a truly unique piece from over 400 million years ago!

Moldavite specimen - 1.8 grams - $63

Moldavite is a type of tektite found in Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria and it's known for its incredible green colour. This specimen is from the Czech Republic.
Tektites are impact ejecta, a type of natural glass that has been created from a meteorite impact, in this case approximately 14.7 million years ago - the heat and pressure from an impact changes natural rock to glass. It's typically a transparent / translucent forest/olive green colour.

Campo del Cielo iron meteorite - 14.2 grams - $47

This meteorite fell in Argentina approximately 4500 years ago and came from one of the 26 craters that make up the Campo del Cielo crater field. The largest crater in the field is 115m x 91m, the crater field is 3km x 18km and the strewn field extends approx 60km.
Iron meteorites are thought to have originated from the core of a destroyed planet or asteroid (much like Earth has an iron / nickel core). This planet or asteroid formed 4.5 billion years ago, the same time as our solar system and this little piece has remained unchanged in composition since then - you can not touch anything older than this!
The thing that stands out the most when you hold this meteorite is the weight, it's heavier than you'd expect for something this size.

Campo del Cielo is in the group iron meteorites (the other two main groups are stony and stony/iron) so it is 100% meteoric iron. The composition for this meteorite is - 92.9% Fe, 6.7% Ni, 0.4% Co (with a few other trace elements).
