Puanga Matariki 2026 Market at Reyburn House, Town Basin as part of the Puanga Matariki Festival Whangarei

Join us for a special community celebration of Puanga Matariki at Reyburn House, Whangārei's historic arts and culture hub in the Town Basin.

This family-friendly market brings together local artists, crafters, food vendors, performers, and community groups to celebrate the Māori New Year. Inspired by the themes of remembrance, reflection, gratitude, and hope, the event offers an opportunity to honour those who have passed, celebrate the present, and look forward to the future.

Browse a diverse range of handmade arts and crafts, enjoy delicious food, experience local entertainment, and connect with the community in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Whether you're searching for unique gifts, supporting local makers, or simply enjoying a day out with whānau and friends, there is something for everyone.

Set against the backdrop of the Town Basin, the Puanga Matariki Market reflects the values of whanaungatanga, creativity, and community spirit that define this special time of year.
