The new release from Finn Andrews and The Veils is a stunning collection of intimate, raw, and beautifully crafted songs recorded quickly at Roundhead Studios

Over the last few albums, Andrews has well and truly stepped out from the long-standing Nick Cave comparisons, establishing a voice that's unmistakably his own. Fragile World feels like an extension and growth forward, with shimmering textures and an emotional depth that recalls the best of '80s art rock and dream pop.
In many ways, it brings to mind Lost in a Dream by The War on Drugs - a record that absorbed its influences without ever feeling derivative, creating something timeless and deeply affecting.

Album of the Week: MJ Lenderman – Manning Fireworks

One of the best albums to be released last year is still on high repeat in the Badgers Den & is out Album of the week:

Manning Fireworks marks another leap forward for MJ Lenderman as one of the most perceptive and compelling singer-songwriters working today. His trademark humour remains intact, but the jokes often reveal something darker and more unsettling beneath the surface. The punchlines are still there, as are the rusted-wire guitar solos that have made him a favourite among indie rock fans searching for the next great guitar hero.
