There is plenty on the line this weekend when the Trans-Tasman Test Series winds up at Willinga Park in New South Wales. Both New Zealand and Australia will be chasing glory, especially given the Kiwi young rider team was victorious at the opener at the Waratah World Cup Show, where the Australian seniors rode off with honours.

The NZ Senior team for Willinga Park comprises Jake Lambert aboard Gloria Massure, Josh Collins with Cornel, Katie Meredith on Sapphire SSNZ, and Sam Whale with Fleur DeLacour.

The young rider team will be named later today after their warm-up class. The seniors will be in action tonight (Thursday) at 6.00pm Australian time with the young riders competing on Friday.

Chef d’equipe Jaime Campbell-Ward had plenty of praise for the Waratah young rider team and says New Zealand is very fortunate to have such depth available for selection. There are a number of Kiwis who have made the trip across the Tasman to support the teams. “It’s very exciting and should create a great atmosphere for the final test,” says Jaime.

This weekend Australia will be fielding three young rider teams and there will also be a joint Oceania team for the remaining two New Zealand riders.

Moments like this are what it’s all about

This one was pretty special 🖤

For 10 years I have had the privilege of riding in Moores Riding Wear and have been supported by Kate in so many more ways than just jackets. Kate has been a friend, confidant and has whole heartedly supported and believed in me.

This weekend I got to put the Silver Fern on one of her jackets for the first time and it really did feel so special to think of the journey we’ve been on over the last 10 years.

I wonder what the next 10 will look like 🤔

It’s one of our favourite parts of the job — opening our inbox and finding beautiful messages, photos, and updates from the riders wearing our jackets across the country, in every discipline.

Debbie recently wrote to us at the end of the season:
“I just wanted to say thank you for the advice on the stock. The green looked fabulous with Eva (Highland Flame), and the jacket made numerous successful appearances.”

It really doesn’t get much better than this for us. Being part of your journeys — and following such wonderful people and horses over the years — is something we feel incredibly grateful for.
