As many will already know we are closing our framing shop permanently on 22 December. However between now and then we're having a sale of all artworks and gifts in the shop. Everything is 50% off (not including picture framing!). Open everyday until 22 December 10am - 5.00pm.

With Monday being a public memorial day to honour and remember Queen Elizabeth, Framemakers will be closed.

Framemakers are honoured to have been chosen by the trustees of the Chatham Islands Museum to frame many of their exhibits for the new museum and I have been working closely with Co-Chair Jocelyn Powell.

We have printed and mounted many photos and information panels sourced from the Alexander Tunbull Library, Canterbury Museum, locals and many other resources and there is still more work to come.

The map on the left was framed by Framemakers after having Lynn Campbell, Art Conservator, do her magic to tidy it up and mount it on an archival board. We then framed it and dressed it with TruVue museum glass.

New look reception

With Christmas fast approaching time to say a big thank you to everyone for supporting us this year through the tough times. It's been a little difficult sourcing supplies with shipping delays and lockdowns, but hopefully things will improve in 2022 with the supply chain slowly getting back to a new normal. We thank everyone for their patience.

We are taking a break this Christmas and will close on Thursday 23 December 2021 and will re-open on Tuesday 18 January 2022.
