The United Nations is looking for a dedicated Partnership Officer to join our team in the Resident Coordinator’s Office in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.

This position plays a crucial role in supporting the UN’s efforts in achieving the 2030 Agenda and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through effective partnership and resource mobilization.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Provide strategic support for the development and implementation of partnership strategies.
✅ Engage in resource mobilization initiatives and manage pooled funds effectively.
✅ Collaborate closely with finance experts to promote financing for the SDGs.
✅ Contribute to knowledge management initiatives to enhance UN partnerships.

Qualifications:
• A background in public administration, sustainable development, social sciences, or a related area.
• At least five years of progressive experience in project/programme management.

The country made medical history yesterday [Wednesday, 14th May] with its first ever and successful kidney transplant.

The transplant which began late yesterday evening, was reported a success - with the recipient able to make urine, the first sign of a functioning kidney.
