Writing biographies on PNG’s military history has enabled me to meet extraordinary people who have served in the Australian Defence Force; people whom I may have not had the opportunity to meet in another life. I commenced today, on my new book project, and at the behest of the retired General and his family, the journey towards writing his story as PNG’s first indigenous commander of the PNGDF from independence in 1975…
