CPL Group is pleased to report a significant improvement in profitability for the first half of 2026, driven by the successful ex*****on of its strategic transformation initiatives, growth in its pharmacy business, and stronger contributions from joint venture partners.

For the six months ended June 2026, CPL Group recorded revenue of K171.27 million, compared with K250.41 million in the corresponding period last year. The reduction reflects the divestment of Stop & Shop.

Reflecting the improved financial performance, the Board has declared an interim dividend of 2 toea per share.

CPL Group, through the City Pharmacy Medical Clinic brand, is pleased to announce an exciting new healthcare partnership with Apollo Hospitals, India’s leading healthcare provider, to offer integrated referral pathways for Papua New Guineans seeking specialist healthcare access.

This milestone partnership with Apollo Hospitals was formally launched with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by CPL Group Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ajay Patel, and Apollo Hospitals Senior Manager, International Marketing, Dr. Harsh Jadhav in Port Moresby on Wednesday 9th September 2026.

The official MoU was signed a day after a Continuous Medical Education (CME) Event took place with visiting Apollo Hospital Specialists, Dr. Varun Bansal (Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeon), Dr. Asit Arora (Surgical Oncologist) and Dr. Peter Olali (Oncologist & Director Cancer Services, Port Moresby General Hospital), among Medical Industry Professionals and Partners.

”Our vision is to create a bridge between Papua New Guinea and specialist medical expertise from around the world. We want patients to have access to better information, specialist advice and informed treatment pathways before making the significant decision to travel overseas for medical care’, said Mr. Patel.
