Tanay, Rizal – The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Rizal Provincial Office successfully convened the Stakeholders' Meeting on the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) on June 22, 2026 at the Tanay Municipal Compound, bringing together key partners to strengthen the implementation of programs for the province's coconut industry.
The meeting gathered representatives from Municipal Agriculture Offices of the municipalities of Tanay, Pililla, Jalajala, Baras, and the City of Antipolo, along with officials from the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA). The activity served as a venue to discuss the implementation of CFIDP, align priority interventions, and reinforce collaboration among stakeholders in delivering programs and services to coconut farmers.
During the meeting, DTI Rizal presented its enterprise development initiatives under the CFIDP, highlighting business development services, entrepreneurship programs, product development, and market linkage opportunities available to qualified coconut farmers and their organizations. Participants also exchanged ideas on addressing local challenges and identified strategies to promote value-adding activities and sustainable coconut-based enterprises in their respective localities.
The activity concluded with a renewed commitment from participating agencies and local government units to work collectively toward empowering coconut farmers, enhancing enterprise development, and advancing a more resilient and competitive coconut industry in Rizal Province.
