The humble beginnings of Baguio Sweets, formerly known as Mother’s Best, started in the year 1991 during a period of depression for Baguio City. It was one year
after a devastating earthquake struck the country’s summer capital. The power couple, Mr. Dela Cruz, refused to bend under the disadvantage and mustered the strength and perseverance to establish an entrepreneurial undertaking. Dela Cruz opened Baguio Sweets with a meager capital of Php 20,000 to produce peanut brittle and peanut butter. The husband-and-wife tandem did not mind starting small, perhaps thinking that the business would succeed long term. Throughout the years, Baguio Sweets est. 1991 continued to produce peanut brittle, peanut butter, sugar coated peanuts, lengua de gato, broas and choco crinkles. Currently, the company continues to process peanut brittle, chocoflakes and numerous coated peanuts. Now, Baguio Sweets cater to the added vibrance of the city by providing Pasalubong to our visitors and their loved ones at home. After years of making Baguio sweeter, we are now available in various locations in Baguio City. The company has also extended their connections to different cities and provinces in the Philippines. With much perseverance from our owners, Baguio Sweets has also reached USA, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Malaysia. During the pandemic, Baguio Sweets continues to innovate and create different fusions on our Peanut Brittle. Just a year ago, the company launched Baguio’s first ever Peppermint Peanut Brittle and Chocolate Peanut Brittle, a unique line of products added to your pasalubong list when you visit our beloved city.
