π ASTHMA RECOVERY π
My son had a Neonatal Pneumonia when I gave birth to him. He was in NICU for 8 days right after the delivery via CS operation. He was given antibiotics thru IV and was given oxygen to support his breathing. As time passed by, I noticed that he would easily gets cough, and it would get worse.
He is a high risk asthmatic. Way back August 2019, nagising na lang ako na umiiyak na ang bunso ko. He was catching his breath. I gave him his nebulizer as prescribed and even doubled it, pero hirap pa rin syang huminga. Hanggang sa napansin ko na lang na parang umiiba na kulay nya. So I rushed him to the nearest hospital. π©
He was confined for 5 days and had to get oxygen support for 3 days so he can breathe properly. After that, napansin ko every month na siya hinihika. So I decided to have him checked sa isang pulmo pedia in December 2019. He was prescribed with steroids that he would need to take for 3 months. Since January 2020, di na siya inatake ng hika. Natapos ang 3 months medication March 2020. Di kami nakabalik sa pulmo pedia (as instructed) due to lockdown. Pero since then naman, di na siya hinika ulit. Akala ko okay na.
January 2021, hinika ulit sya and it was serious. Natakot ako. π£Bumalik sa akin yung scenario na he was catching his breath and nag iba na kulay niya. Nag steroids ulit siya along with nebulizer, pero 4 days passed wala akong nakitang improvement. Ang hirap pa naman magpa ospital kasi baka mahawa siya ng Covid dahil height of the pandemic nung time na yun.
Kaya't I contacted my mentor at umutang ako ng isang bote ng Intra kasi wala akong pera at that time. I gave him 2 jiggers for 3x a day. And it may seem unbelievable but after 2 days (total of 12 jiggers consumed), nawala yung hingal at hirap niya sa paghinga. Pinaubos ko sa kanya ang isang bote even though ok na sya. From now on, I will only entrust my bunso and other kids sa Intra. π₯°
