May 5, 2022 when the Mount Data Hotel reopened to the public after closing during the pandemic and undergoing renovations.

Together with the reopening of the Hotel (originally named Mount Data Lodge) is the opening of the continuous exhibits that we had been organizing and curating, to open opportunities of different artists from the grassroots to be shown to the world of the varied clientele of the first premium hotel in Mountain Province, north of Baguio City.

It was a challenge for us to take, being one who came from Mountain Province. We knew that arts wasn't a priority, more of an element of luxury among Cordillerans. Igorots may appreciate art, but to purchase is another thing even if they have money to spare. But mindsets have been changing. Fellow igorots started to appreciate art. It may start with works that connect to them as Cordillerans and are becoming more contemporary in taste.

Mount Data Hotel currently houses hundreds of artworks from various artists of varying levels of experiences, professional to amateur/newbies who are trying to find their world in the arts. Themes vary to cater to the varied tastes of hotel guest and visitors, of locals and tourists, both domestic and foreign.

Memories of Love

We have made the ring a symbol of union, of love. But when the inevitable happens, one crosses the bridge to the afterlife.

I was requested to make these rings part of 2 Cordi inspired accessories that will soon be owned by the 2 children after the passing of their father a few years ago. I hope that these will be keeping the memories close to the heart when they wear them.
