Our Mavakes 2.0 design features not only an Ivatan woman wearing Vakul, Dimas-batu earring and Inaynap but also with three popular Batanes birds- Vuyit, Huyi-huyi and Dachiw symbolizing a new age of Ivatan woman’s freedom - to choose their own path, independence and to break free from the limitations of the past.
