Creative Hub joins the people of Batanes in mourning the passing of Rep. Ciriaco “Jun” Gato Jr. We remember him not only as a public servant and leader, but as an Ivatan who carried Batanes with him throughout his years of service. For many of us in the creative community, leadership is also about helping preserve what makes a place worth calling home: its people, culture, livelihood, stories and hopes for the next generation.

Thank you for your service to Batanes, Doc Jun. Your work has become part of our province’s story and it will continue to be remembered by the people you served.

Rest in peace, Doc. Our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones 🙏

Congratulations AweeArt 🎉

We are proud to see one of our local artists and a member of the Creative Hub community represent Batanes through his work. Thank you for continuing to create works that bring Batanes stories beyond our islands.

Batanes, Philippines 💪🇵🇭

Nagising ng maraming AI photos, "scholar claim" posts, tags etc. 😅

We may laugh but we should not ignore it. Batanes is not an object to be claimed through maps, theories or borrowed history. Our friendship with Taiwan (Hello to our Taiwanese Artist friends) and Lanyu (Akokay) 🙌 does not make us property of another nation.

Ang Batanes ay sa Pilipinas 🇵🇭
