Skirmish Experience #1

Our first-ever Skirmish after taking a break from Riftbound for almost a month!!! No warmups, no practice with the new metas... literally went in completely blind. R finished 2-2-1, while S finished 2-3-0

⚔️ R’s Master Yi Matches ⚔️

Game 1: Shen ✅✅ - WIN
A lot of misplays because I had no idea how Shen plays wahaha. First time playing against it, so I was basically figuring things out as I went.

Game 2: Jayce Aurora ❌❌ - LOSE
Really lacked the Gear hate hahaha... got punished for it rq.

Game 3: Viktor ✅❌✅ - WIN
Always fun to play against! Definitely makes you think twice with Cull the Weak and Imperial.

Game 4: Mel ✅❌✅ - DRAW/WIN
Ended in a draw! First time playing against Mel as well. Almost won the last game, but I was only ahead by 1 and needed a 2-point lead. Clutch plays from Jayce and Wind Wall wippie.

Game 5: Irelia ❌❌ - LOSE
Played against a pro + I still have no idea how to play against Irelia HAHAHA. And to make things even better (worse), I had no two-drops in both rounds, and even Rengar decided not to show up.

⚔️ S' Viktor Matches ⚔️

Game 1: Kai'Sa ✅❌❌ - LOSE
I was always struggling with red decks because of the F***ING STAR that keeps on clearing my base. But, the match was fun because I was matched with a friend.

Game 2: Diana ✅✅ - WIN
Viktor is more favorable with this match up, also got the cards I exactly needed when I needed it.

Game 3: Jayce ✅❌✅ - WIN
Lucky enough to win this match especially the first game where I had only one anti gear and was able to draw it, this round was full of laughter and jokes. Glad to play it with a close friend!

Game 4: Leblanc ❌❌ - LOSE
First time playing with my opponent, who is also a regular customer and an avid supporter of Holo Hub, went 0-2 during this because of the perfectly executed plays of my opponent, definitely learned a lot of new tricks and interactions.

Game 5: Rengar ❌✅❌ - LOSE
Again, with the red decks, no Falling Stars this time, but a lot of ambush units, was able to win one game with Rockfall Path, but that was it.

Overall, we’re both pretty rusty at the game hahaha! But it was such a fun experience getting to play together again!! Shoutout to our friends who made it even more fun, and to One Ayala NG, our favorite place to play RB! 🫶
