When we went to Bohol for a work trip, we were clear about one thing only, to be there for work. But at the back of my head, I just can't let them go back home without visiting some of the iconic places on the island especially since it's their first time to be in Bohol. In fact for most of them it's their first time to go to the Visayas area and ride a ferry/ship. So, on their last day, my husband Jun D. Marcojos and I asked them which places they really want to visit in Bohol and they only told us 2 - Chocolate hills & the man-made forest. And my golly were they so happy. It was one fulfilling trip. A day before this, we also went strolling in Alona beach.

It feels a little surreal being here. 🤍

Five years ago, Bellevue first welcomed our macramé parasols into their space. Some of those pieces are still here today, at the beach front mostly brought out for shoots, styling, and special events.

Then last October, when Flújo Café opened at Bellevue’s lobby, they ordered another set of our macramé parasols — and somehow, this trip became my first time actually seeing them in person. 🥹

To sit here now, after all these years, surrounded by pieces made by our hands… it’s one of those quiet moments where you stop and realize just how far a little piece of handmade work can take you.

And to think that Flújo is turning one next month. ✨

I’m just incredibly grateful — for the trust, for the opportunities, for the people who continue to believe in what we make, and for being able to come all the way here and finally see our work living in a space like this.

Of course, I had to bring a little Knotting Elle with me too — my macramé conch bag adorned with sigay shells. 🐚 this trip's official photographer is truly Airish Mae Adonis 😄

Just one of the moments I never want to forget. The Bellevue Resort this humongous macrame teepee is where my began. 😄 People thought it was easy for me to be up there on that ladder, the truth is I knot so fast so I could easily go down from that ladder coz it scares the hell out of me too. 🙃😄 But boy was it worth it! my top & bottom were all thrifted and yes I intentionally brought them for this moment. 😁 thank you Airish Mae Adonis for braving the heat of the sun while taking these. 🤣😅🌺

Our supposed 15-day project all finished in just 12 days! The Bellevue Resort had us for their dinner buffet to celebrate this win.
This luxury resort truly values the people who work with/for them.
We can't be more thankful enough for the generosity they have shown us. From letting us stay in the suite room, to covering our transportation, providing us our meals all day for the whole duration of this project. All the staffs are so warm, kind and are so consistent all throughout our stay here. Ihatud sundo pa mi and tabangan og gusto mi mulaag after work. Even the security here are kind while still making you feel really safe. The kitchen staffs even make sure we eat well. When they notice we're eating late coz of overtime, lahian dayun mi og food. They even notice I don't eat pork and I love hard boiled eggs so they always reserve it for me. 🥹

And even if we finished early, they even extended our stay here so we could still enjoy Bohol and their beach. 🥹

We were initially booked to make 3 big parasols and 2 big teepees only but orders were added when we got here. 3 big parasols became 4 and 2 teepees became 7. We also added chandeliers and curtain trims for their existing cottages.
We are praying for more clients like them.
When I thought nothing could top our Siargao project experience, this one just ticks all the boxes for being the best client ever. 🥹🙏🫶

Getting ready for today's promotional shoot. We were so motivated and inspired as the photographer kept raving about the teepees and parasols we made of how amazing it would look on prenups and weddings. He was even more surprised we traveled 14 hours to do this project here. 2 more teepees and 2 more parasols to finish. We can't believe it's been 9 days since we started working on these big pieces. While there were additional pieces, we were still able to make all of them in just over a week. So proud of this team. Though they have to remind me from time to time to eat ( workaholic problems) 😄 also our work shirt added to the motivation to push through today.
